As part of moving in to my new place I have now purchased all new kitchen ware. Anyone have any tips on seasoning some new cast iron pieces?

I've hit my first stall in my bulk

My rolling 7 day weight average dropped for the first time, I've been stuck at 159.4 the past week or so

Might need to increase calories

Also stalled on my bench. I got 6x220 last week easily, could have gotten 7. Today I only got 4x225, thought I would easily get 6.

Will re-evalulate my calories at end of week

be careful as a female when fasting for more than 14 hours atleast at first. Causes hormonaly crap to happen in women.

man i realized yesterday that 330g pf protein is too much to stay on a RFL style diet. Gonna have to lower it to stay within the other constraints of the diet. By the end of the week I should have it figured out though.

Wow. I'm really glad you said this. I've been doing sort of unintended IF since September. I don't have much of an appetite because of the medication I'm on (Vyvanse). I was seriously just telling my girlfriends that I feel like I'm rapidly aging. Like my hormones are out of whack, or my ovaries are shriveling at 36. This isn't normal in my family, so it's been really freaking me out. I googled IF & hormones, and the first article references a study that says:

"By the end of the 12 weeks, the fasting female rats had lost 19 percent of their body weight, their blood glucose levels were lower, and their ovaries had shrunk.
Overall, the experiment affected the female rats’ hormones much more significantly than the males’."

I'd never heard of this connection, nor did it occur to me that this was the problem. Thank you for mentioning it. Off to do more research.

I've been good since Christmas with regular keto, but I want to read more on the PSMF/ RFL stuff and give it a go after Mardi Gras. I need to hit your google drive and check that out and the new Greyskull book.

Yeahhh...I'm not messing around with the not-eating anymore. Officially scared straight. I haven't been able to figure out why I feel so crappy. I'd rather be fat than menopausal in my mid-30s. Not that those are my only options. I just didn't realize I was legitimately harming my body.

Not sure how you can skip dinner.

I skip breakfast to IF all the time. But dinner would be tough. I'd never be able to fall asleep.

It looks like 1/3rd because it is. If you hit the gym with the correct intensity then no need to do much more. But also the frequency is much higher. That's what I was talking about in email earlier, no need for the bro science routine.

If you shot a dear and it was dead, would you walk up to it and shoot it 25 more times just to do it? No, so why do that with your muscles. There is a time for volume but it sure as hell isnt while cutting.

Main focus should just be getting stronger in the core lifts bench/incline, shoulder press, squats/front squats, deads, weighted chins, weighted dips, and pendlay row/db row, and maybe close grip bench. Other then that progress in bodyweight movements plus throw in curls and triceps and your done.

many of yall need to read this as a reminder

frickarounditis

quote:

frickarounditis: A Serious Threat I have been trying to cure people of frickarounditis since the late 90's, starting from the day I was first cleansed from it myself. Ever since I recognized the disease, I have acknowledged it as a serious threat to physique development and mental well-being. It is therefore with shock and horror I have watched an increasing number of people fall victim to the disease and the dubious training practices it inspires

I post this because you Guys and Girls stop trying to over complicate things. Just focus on hitting your macros within 10% daily, focus on getting stronger on bench, squats, deads, press, weighted chins and dips and everything else will take care of itself.

This whole thing isn't that difficult or complicated, sticking to it is the hard part. Have some patients and don't over think it.
