So you spread ground beef like the crust and then add pepperoni and cheese? Because that is a pizza I can get behind. I freaking love meat and cheese. If that's something I can cook and eat leftovers, probably wouldn't do 3 pounds, I'm all in.
I like Berries and apples and most fruit. Not a big veggie fan. I can eat green beans until the cows come home and I like grilled asparagus wrapped in bacon. Maybe I can do the keto thing.

Hey Lazy. Can you come hang with us. We just eat BBQ shrimp and other stuff, have some drinks (I usually have Diet Coke) and ring in the new year boring style. Then crash and get up early for football. I do not like to go out for new year.

Spread the beef, cook for 30 minutes at 400 (cooked through). Place cheese and toppings and back under the broiler for roughly 4 minutes. Set for 15 to reabsorb goodness.

Is it a lifestyle change or more of a 30 day quit eating junk and slim down
Both? Do it for 30 days and see how you feel. I guarantee you will feel drained and tired for a few days while your body switches to fat as fuel. But once that switch happens, you feel great, no more afternoon tiredness, no more crashes, no more foggy head. In some, it takes 2-3 days, for others, the process may take 2 weeks.
Before, I suffered from depression and anxiety. I never knew how big of a connection there was between food and depression.

Were you able to stay under $40?
Posted on 12/30/16 at 5:27 pm to Lazy But Talented
Came in at $48 after tax. Got some deer sausage in the freezer I'll probably snack on at some point
It's trial and error since this is my first week
Just trying to stay under 50 carbs a day. Preferably less than 25

What junky said. Essentially whole30 emphasizes the quality of the food you are eating. You do it for 30 days to essentially cleanse your body of all the crap you take in when eating processed foods. It's to help you feel better, not just lose weight. Essentially to teach you the effect foods have on every aspect of our life's.
After the 30 days you can continue or start reintroducing a few foods here and there and see how you react.
I actually recommend you do the diet with no fruits and only green veggies. You will react like junky said, be tired and have brain fog until your body switches over to using fat as a fuel. Personally I like to fast until around 3 or 4, then eat a couple big meals. The fasting helps the brain fog and energy levels in my experience. I also find the fasting helps break the relationship that we have with food. Many ones we freak when we haven't eaten by noon. It's not that we are truely hungry it's that it has been ingrained in us that you must eat and that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It's bs and was a campaign started by the large cereal manufacturers to get us to buy their products, same with the whole fat is responsible for heart disease.
Overall your life is going to prolly suck for 3 or 4 days then prolly be better then it ever has been. You will feel better overall and if you do it correctly effortless weight loss. You will lose some strength at first but for most it comes back quickly once fat is established as the preferred fuel.
Now I am in no way saying carbs are bad but for most people they have adverse effects. It will be up to you to reintroduce foods after one at a time to see which you can handle and which you can't. For example i figured out that processed carbs like bread and pasta cause me severe stomach discomfort essentially the bubble guts. It will be up to you to figure this out. I suggest adding in a few fruits once you reach your weight goal and see how you react then sweet potatoes etc etc. overall though the goal is to develop a healthy relationship with food where you understand quality is more important then quantity.

Wendler needs to be titled "Boring but weak."
I tried it and had a noticeable decrease in strength after several months.

Track it all baw. You'll be good.

Haha not even possible. If you are doing like the program said you are adding weight on a monthly basis, it's not really possible to get weaker unless you an elite level power lifter used to doing an advanced program like west side barbell.
Were you cutting while doing Wendler? If so, ever thought that 95% of people losing strength while in a calorie deficit? Now I will agree that I believe reverse pyramid training is better when cutting but wendler didn't design the program for anybody cutting and specifically says not to while on the program. He doesn't even believe in that and just believes you need to add more prowler sprints and hill sprints and long arse walks with weighted vest. Greyskull is pretty good on a cut too but it's because of the decreased volume compared to wendler, same with rpt.

White chocolate and the truffles are in the fridge. I'll be finishing them up tomorrow when I melt the chocolate and dump it on the truffles. Spent a small fortune getting all the materials at whole foods, but it'll make a lot of stuff.
I'll take pics tomorrow. The batch made 14 truffles which is what the recipe said it would and it uses 120g of white chocolate out of the 300g the batch I made consisted of. It's been a little time consuming (I'm slow on the kitchen) and multiple recipes call for cooling/chilling/freezing of ingredients.
I've never baked anything that wasn't cookie dough I bought from the store, so I'm really excited to see how these end up.
1 truffle:
147 cal
3g carbs
.8g fiber
2.2g net carbs
2.8g protein
15.2g fat

First batch of chocolate got fricked up when I melted it and the cacao butter basically separated from all the other ingredients leaving a gum like paste sitting in butter. That left me with 180g of chocolate and I had made a second batch of truffles calling for 240g of chocolate.
The second batch of chocolate melted well. I let the chocolate sit to room temp this time vs straight from the fridge to the heat and stirred it constantly.
The lack of chocolate meant that not all of the truffles got a second coating at the end for the cookie garnish to stick to. Not the end of the world and I've learned a lot from this experience. Pics coming soon when I get them out of the fridge!
