A buddy of mine gave me a couple fresh chunks of tuna. What would you do with it?
We really enjoy the tuna tartar at bon temp grill but not sure how they do it.

Sashimi chucks topped with micro slivers of jalapeño and ponzu drizzled all over
Deeeeeelish! Like this yellowtail example below, but use tuna instead. Both equally as satisfying!

I think its soy mixed with citrus juice. Very good. Can find it where they sell international/asian items in your grocery.

Heat grill to very hot. Pass tuna in front of heated grill. Slice and enjoy.
Seriously, that HGG post looks legit.

I usually mix together soy sauce, lemon and lime juice, rice vinegar, and some red pepper flakes and garlic powder. I'm not sure if those are the actual ingredients besides the soy and lemon/lime

If you cook it at all, cook at very high temp for very short period of time.
I picked up some fresh cut steaks at Rouses yesterday and put them on a hot arse grill for about 30 seconds per side. It cooked about the 1st 1/8” of them. We sliced them thin and ate dipped in soy sauce.

If there is an Asian supermarket around they sell a frozen real wasabi that is vastly superior to traditional wasabi.

Most major grocery stores will sell ponzu in the Asian products aisle, it’s a variety of Soy sauce that is much less salty and has more of a citrus zing to it.
Once you dip sashimi into a ponzu, you will never use soy sauce on anything sushi related ever again.
Now.... if you can get your hands on some Yuzu, this stuff is the king of kings for dipping sushi into. It also kicks arse as a salad dressing. 99 ranch here in Houston sells it in here is what the bottle looks like, we put that shite on everything in our house including grilled salmon...And maybe dog shite because it would taste so good, but haven’t gotten that brave yet.
Once you taste yuzu, you will have this instant epiphany of “oh I’ve tasted this flavor before”

Open can, dump in bowl
Give empty can to cats
Mix in mayo, salt, pepper and chopped up eggs
Dip with Ritz crackers

Lime juice, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, olive oil. Marinade for a couple of hours, then sear off. Serve with fresh guacamole and pico
