Went to get one today and it was a limited hurricane menu....sandwich didn't make the cut

Had one today in Dallas. They didn't make me wait. I'll agree with everyone that it's better than both Wendy's and CFA's sandwich.
I'm not a big fan of mayo, so I had originally asked for spicy with no sauce, but the girl informed me the chicken was exactly the same for both sandwiches. It wouldn't be spicy without the sauce. So I opted for the sauce. It was great.
It's real chicken, not some mcnugget patty. Bigger than the bun, sticking out all over. The meat was soft and juicy, not hard and firm like Wendy's. The crust was crispy, even with the sauce on it.
It's a steal for $3.99

PSA: Popeye's in Thibodaux closes at 8pm today.
They have sandwiches, but the line is currently wrapped around to the highway.
Over/under 45min for the spicy?
ETA: Been waiting for 40min, so the over is looking promising. Also, America has an obesity problem.

Ended up taking 50min.
This sandwich is good, but not worth that wait.
Also, the chicken to breading/bread ratio isn't great.

No way it's better than CFA. I can pick up CFA feeling good knowing it will still be fresh when I get home. Not saying Popeyes will be bad, I know it won't, but CFA has spent decades perfecting a sandwich which their cornerstone entree that NO ONE has ever beaten in how many years. Rival sandwiches come and go. I think Wendy's tries hard but still comes up way short.

and everyone has tried to duplicate Popeyes procedures for frying chicken.. the batter, flour, shortening method hasnt been duplicated, and all the secrets are present in this sandwich. deep fried is always going to beat pressure fried

It's better than the original CFA sandwich...but not better than the Spicy CFA sandwich.
I dislike mayo based sauces, hence I didn't really get a spicy sandwich.
If Popeyes would marinate the chicken for the sandwich as their regular chicken is done, it would be the greatest ever.

The one I had was not better than Chick-fil-A. It wasn’t spicy like it claimed either. I also had to wait 15-20 minutes.
It’s a solid sandwich but it isn’t bettter than Chick-fil-A.

I thought the quality of the chicken breast at popeyes was superior to CFA

Popeyes by me has surprisingly prompt friendly service. Rarely have to pull up.
