I think even the snarky folks who call people poor, will agree that is too much money. $22 for chicken strips.... do they come with a handjob?
According to the original post, it’s an 8 piece chicken finger basket for $16. A Cane’s box is 4 fingers.

Jeez, some of you people are complete idiots

Is that a pic of the $20 or $40 hamburger?
Posted on 8/25/21 at 9:58 pm to Y.A. Tittle
Thats the regular poboy Tittle. The large is just 2 of those.
Most poboy places give you a 10-12 inch full poboy. The regulars here are like 8inches roughly and if I had to guess, they are 1/3rd pound patties.
Regarding the original rant on this thread, I wish there were some more answers from somebody in here on what the reasoning is for the outrageous price raises. Like I get maybe adding $0.50 to a $1.00 at times due to inflation and circumstances like we are in today, but these prices seem to have gone up 50% in a few years. And in the burger poboys case, like 150-200%.
Anybody know anyone that works here or with inside knowledge?

Based on what, other than "that's how you feel?"
Many of their material and ingredients are up 20% or more and their labor is up probably 20% or so as well, but they should add $.50 because that's what it should be?
Use your brain

I had a printed menu from their counter, and was charged way more. What else do we need to figure out
Posted on 8/25/21 at 10:44 pm to SUG
I in no way think you’re lying. But do you have any pictures of the menu and receipt? Because that would be extremely interesting.

You are an idiot, a troll, or a spokesperson for this bullshite.
Greed Train Express removed the menu prices and jacked up prices by more than double. Is Bidenflation that bad?

This particular restaurant's prices are too high, now reread his statement and mine

Well, it took 9 pages, but someone finally blamed the President of the United States for the price of a sandwich at a local drive thru.

I agree, we should blame the restaurant for monetary policy and pandemic response.

I didn’t realize every restaurant in BR was listing everything as Market Price.

Prices went up 217%, plus they went to a “market price” aka hidden price menu, Greed, Bidenflation, combo of both, take your pick. Me calling them Greed Train Express should have cemented who I primarily blame for this. Business will have to raise prices due to Bidenflation, but some like this greedy shite show will try to exploit the weakness in our elected leadership.

I’m sorry. Are you claiming that prices went up at every restaurant by 217%? Or that one restaurant in a sea of hundreds in one mid-sized city in one of fifty countries in one of the largest nations on the plant raising its prices by 217% is the direct result of someone being elected the President?
Seriously, I’d love to hear your logic on this.

No, he's not, read the post, take a breath, read it again, and you may comprehend it then.

Hell Mingo, you’re right. I re-read it without simultaneously watching TV and realized he was saying something different than I initially interpreted.
My bad.
My bad.
