I dunno how two people decide on something like that - it's gotta be a royal pain.

Technically the dog is my son's pet. So, when I get him I get the beast. Pretty easy and my wife and I will still be atleast hospitable, and maybe even friends when it is finally over.

I honestly never have got the "great food at a festival" deal and why everybody goes nuts about it. I mean if you want one of the food items that the vendor is serving at the festival ----- Go to the restaurant. The quality surely can not be as good at the festivial as it is at the restaurant

It is pretty much the same - it's only po-boys.

I had a number of poboys at the fest last year that were very comparable to what you get in the restaurant. Also, the fest makes it possible to try places and items that you typically don't get to often for one reason or another.

I hope they find a way to spread things out a bit, like extending the booths on down Oak Street, or spilling out onto Carrollton.

It's just getting ridiculously crowded, especially in the first two blocks of Oak off of Carrollton.

Returning for my second time tomorrow night for dinner. just checked out the menu and it looks even better than first time I went a couple of months ago.

I want to try the bbq shrimp poboy for sure.

I am just having trouble figuring out how to watch the Saints game and get plenty of time at the poboy fest

Good friends of mine told me that the fest has said that they will have a big screen up showing the game. This sealed the deal for Mr. NikiNik...so we'll be there.

The game ends at approx 3:00. It'll be quite a while after that before the festival shuts down?

Fest closes at 6...so yeah...even after the game, there's plenty of time for the fest.

Had it last year...I think it was basically $8 down the drain. Maybe I had it too late in the day, who knows...

I know it closes at 6:00, but I figure that after the Saints game will be busy, plus I live in Algiers, so I got to drive somewhere and park and possibly take the street car - I want plenty of time to sample- I need time to eat, let it settle and eat some more you know? - now that I know there will be tv available, I think I will go early.
