Running the crescent city so nothing to crazy.... was rolling with the Butcher suggestion someone gave me yesterday, but i just realized its Good Friday
Any casual decent places for seafood in the area? I've been to Rio Mar a few times, but wouldn't really consider that casual.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the Deanie's in the warehouse district. That one closed recently.

There is one on the corner of Iberville and Dauphine

I went to the Deanie's on Iberville after the Rock n Roll marathon and 1/2 marathon last month and I did not like their food.
The fried shrimp were not very good. The breading was made with flour and I prefer a predominantly cornmeal mixture. The portions there were very large. It was a quantity vs. quality thing.

Acme>Oceana. Dragos may also be a decent choice.

I have only been to Deanies once, but I had the BBQ shrimp and it was great. Also there is Old Nawlins Cookery at 205 Bourbon next to Galatoire's. It is same ownership at Oceana and same menu for the most part, but I like the food better there
