Pimanyoli's (BR) abruptly closes

Pimanyoli's Smokehouse shut down for good the evening of Jan 4th. I guess they could not even hang on long enough for the Restaurant:Impossible episode filmed in September to make it on the airwaves. Good food but no knowledge of how to run a restaurant.
" As of today, the Smokehouse with the funny name, “Pimanyoli’s” is permanently closed. Our closing albeit sad, has brought me remarkable joy. I thank God for giving Piman and me the opportunity to bring to you our talents and favorable offerings."

Sad news…they had some pretty darn good stuff there. The tamales were phenomenal. I thought I heard somewhere that the tamales were made/sold elsewhere. Anyone know anything about that? I can’t quit them.

They were never open anyway.

Weird hours and that place died when the husband passed away.

I think the tamales are the same at Pass a dozen.

You can get them off Greenwell Springs Road
Pass A Dozen

Hate to hear it, lovely people, good food. They always seemed to be busy at lunch, but their irregular dinner hours were not helpful. I'll bet the rent in the location was killer.
They need to reopen in a low rent location, but since Dad died it was a tough go from there. Where am I going to get the best brisket salad in town? TJ's isn't close.

It's their own fault. The name was horrible, and they had no identity. It's sad because the food was great

The tamales were sold in Oak Point shopping center at Pass a Dozen but she's not there anymore. Look up their Facebook page and it'll tell you she sells them at some church on Greenville Springs on Saturdays now.

Facebook page doesn’t mention anything about a church. Maybe I can find some info on a note taped to the door by Oak Point?

The Warren was possibly the best sammich I have ever eaten. Burgers and tamales were the bomb too. Good people, good food, good place. Sucks that it's closed.

Agreed. Their sign read Pimanyoli’s Sidewalk Cafe and Catering
And they advertise Pimanyoli’s smokehouse
Hate to see them close though. Wish the family luck.

The church mentioned is likely Magnolia United Methodist on Greenwell Springs Rd. They have a substantial Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings.

Pimanyolis has great food but service was always terrible.
The tamales were indeed Pass a Dozen. They can be found at the farmers market in Central on Saturday mornings. I forget the name of the church, but it’s basically across from Shady Park on Greenwell Springs in between the Thruway and Morgan.

Sad to hear
In my top 3 restaurants in BR
Tamales were great
The sandwich with the pulled pork, brisket, and pepperjack was great
My wife said they had the best burger she ever had
Great homemade BBQ sauce
Great homemade lemonade

The tamales are made by Yolanda's sister Wanda. Wanda Pass to be exact.
