The philly cheese and roast beef threads got me thinking about great sandwiches.

This was a shrimp po-boy I got at Houmas House. It was as great as it looks

I'm a sucker for the simple classics. Pastrami on rye. Pick a NYC deli.

The Firebird gives me heartburn just looking at it, but that second one sounds like a thing of glory. (Not saying the first one is bad, I just can’t eat it, I would if I could)

The original French Dip (Double Dipped) at Philippe’s in Los Angeles. Really simple. Served with hot mustard that will clear your sinuses.

Very true. "Instagrammable" chicken sandwich restaurants (basically, the Curbside of chicken sandwiches) have been pretty huge on the west coast for a few years. I've said since I first went to one that if I had the means to open one in BR, it would print money.

Kinda looks like Curbside is moving in on that market, luckily for us.

Denver Biscuit Co is AWESOME

So far, the sandwiches have been fried shrimp platters with dry bread and sandwiches I can make at home....havent finished the thread, but Darrells in Lake Charles or Jennings is far superior to most of these. Shrimp or Special
