Going to a show there on a Sunday evening in August.
Anyplace to get a light meal and drinks in or around Philly?

The casino will be your best bet (pun intended)

I'm not convinced there IS anything in/around Philadelphia besides the casino.

I’d plan to eat at the casino. Nothing happening in town on a Sunday night.

You can try the Porterhouse. Steaks, but the have other stuff as well. They have a bar where you can get drinks. Not sure they are open on Sunday evenings though.

That casino had the worst customer service I've ever seen in the casino industry. I was there for a conference a few years ago and had to eat every meal there. Tried everything they had. All terrible. I'll never forget how much food was on the floor under the tables.

If possible, stop by the Williams General store and get some sliced bacon to take home. It's very, very good bacon

You’re going to have a hard time finding a place to eat on a Sunday night in Philadelphia that’s not at the casino and isn’t fast food, Mexican, Japanese, etc.
Agree about going to Williams Brothers if you’re into old school country grocery stores. We hit it up when we do the whole Neshoba County Fair thing.
