Pellet Brands Noticeably Different?

Any preferred brand (not flavors) of pellets for your smokers? I typically use the Cabelas brand which $10/20lbs because the Traeger brand is $20/20lbs. I recently bought the Costco brand which is a blend of 4 different flavor pellets because it was $13/40lbs.
I have been satisfied with the cheaper option of Cabelas and Costco, just curious if I'm missing on anything special if there's a quality flavor difference with the Traeger or any other brands.

Honestly, not really. I have bought the Bear Mountain brand when they have sales but mostly just grab the Kingsford pellets at the grocery store. Been pretty happy with the food it puts out.

Knotty Wood is my first choice. Bear Mtn if I can’t find that.

I have not noticed any difference between Traeger and Walmart brands.

YEP, same here. I've tried about 8 different brands and there's no noticeable difference.

I use whatever but most of the time I buy B&B Competition Blend from Academy.

If any of them use scented glue, that could be a difference-maker in your cooks.

That's about what I expected, but just wanted to see what others have noticed.

Cookin pellets and lumberjack are my favorite.

I usually use Kirkland (which are made by Pit Boss) or Bear Mtn, but I've been happy with RecTeq's pellets as well.

I went through a bag of Bear Mountain at least twice as fast at the B&B from adademy. Flavor was fine

hese guys did a blind taste test and could not only tell the difference, but could distinguish which was which and had a room of people vote on the taste
That's neat, thanks
