Pat's was our go to place for Bisque back in my younger years...now the go to place for Bisque is Rachaels in Lafayette ..

Tell me more about the bisque. I was looking at the website. Looks like she puts boulettes in rather than the stuffed heads.

I've seen some of her products at Hebert's.

Yes she put very generous sized boulettes in her bisque. Its really the best bisque i've here had besides my moms.

They have a red beans/rice side order that puts Popeyes to shame. Assuming you like Popeyes.

Go-tos are the bisque and the camp-style crawfish etouffee. Not sure it’s worth the price, though.

Used to live in Breaux Bridge. Place was awesome around the 02 to 04 years. Crawfish bisque was amazing. Not sure how it is now. Hope it’s still as good

Ordered some of the frozen bisque this week. It had the boulettes frozen in with the bisque which wasn't optimal because they fell apart upon reheating that texture was mush. The bisque itself was like a thick dark gumbo rather than bisque as I remember it at Pat's, Downtown Don's or Bon Ton in New Orleans. It was okay, but not what we were looking for in a bisque. Too thick and not enough crawfish flavor. It would be better if she frozen and vac sealed the boulettes for shipping, but I doubt we'd order it again anyway. We got the seafood gumbo as well, but haven't tried it yet.

Does anyone know if the one in Lake Charles is still open?

The building had a lot of damage from hurricane Laura. It has been long slow process to rebuild. Most of the repairs are complete, so it should not be to much longer.

I think I remember seeing something about them starting the hiring process soon. Most restaurants in Lake Charles are way under staffed because they can't find people willing to work.
