It's decent.
15 minutes down the road is Cafe Sydnie Mae in Breaux Bridge for an awesome Sunday brunch.
Hit up Cafe for brunch then take a ride along the levee and stop in at Pat's for a late lunch/early dinner.

It's been some years since I've been there, but I always enjoyed the crawfish bisque with the stuffed heads. We'd buy it frozen on occasion to bring home. I remember some nice fat soft shell crabs as well.
Friends ate there about a month or so ago and said the bisque and etouffee were still good. I enjoy the atmosphere as well. Typical Cajun seafood joint.

My last trip there ruined it for me. Got an au gratin dish and I'm 75% sure they put marshmallow cream in the dish. It was inedibly sweet.
I've had great meals there and it holds nostalgic value for me so I'm sure I'll be back eventually. Next time, I'll stick with gumbo, turtle soup, or crawfish bisque.
As a kid, the seafood platter with a bottle of Dr. Pepper was heaven.

Assuming you are talking about the one in Henderson?
Does anyone know if the one in Lake Charles is still open?

When did that happen? The website is up and running. I just called and they open at 11.

Did they change locations/buildings? I surely thought it was a big Mexican restaurant now.

Nope.
I just drove by it the other day and it most certainly is still Pat’s.

Same location and building. They have a small hotel on the property as well.

Just found this out: Closed until further notice due to last years extensive hurricane damage.
So don't go to the one in Lake Chuck or you'll be disappointed.

Was that the Landry's around Breaux Bridge?

Go to any Pat's and you will be disappointed.

Oh Contraire...
The one in Lake Chuck had a large slab of broiled red snapper topped with butter and crab meat that competed with anyone's, including the F&D Crab meat challenge.

Pat's was our go to place for Bisque back in my younger years...now the go to place for Bisque is Rachaels in Lafayette ...Cafe Sydnie mae is a great restaurant with wonderful Sunday brunch and at nite a great menu with a great pork chop ala Perry's Steakhouse Pork Chop....Pats does have great weekend entertainment next door to restaurant at Atchafalaya Club!
