Loved Sicily's. Pasta Garden was awesome. Loved that place. Probably ate both 150 times minimum.

I worked there one night and quit. Service bartender, worked my arse off, got tipped out $20. I remember the drink gun was wrong. I forget exactly what it was, but different than any place I’ve ever worked. I made a drink and hit the button that normally would have been correct, and I made some nasty drink. So I dumped it and made another. The owner saw me do it, told the manager. He told me something, said I could have saved it in case someone ordered it. I replied the gun is wrong, and I made some nasty drink no one will order.
Busted my arse all night for $20 tip out. I never went back. There was no bar, just a small space for customers to come up to and order while they were waiting. I may have made $30 from customers.

Semolinas>>>>>Pasta Garden

I concur. Pasta Garden was good, but Semolina's was very good....Several good food options in that area back in the day, Pasta Garden, Ground Patti, Piccadilly, Podnuh's & Hawks Nest. On the other side of the Interstate was a Denny's for late night food after doing some carousing at Common Point or Sherwood Junction.

The shrimp and eggplant rollatini was killer. My mom always got some kind of crawfish and Tasso bread that was good as well

That Semolinas on Coursey was always crowded. Was shocked when they closed. That was me and my grandparents Sunday lunch spot

Jambalaya pasta and Quattro formaggi wasn’t the GOAT

Absolutely. I grew up in Broadmoor and practically lived in the mall. Had my first date with my husband at Mama Brava's as a matter of fact.

My husband and I loved Pasta Garden. I have tried for years to find the recipe for their ‘Crazy Balls’. If that recipe happens to be in your cookbook, could you send me a copy? Or any idea where I may be able to get that cookbook for myself?
Thank you!!!

Pasta Garden. 17yr old me took a high school girlfriend there on a first date. Dinner went well and I paid our check and was leaving, our waitress followed us out in the parking lot to my car and asked us if the dinner and everything was ok? I said yes everything was great and she said, "Well I'm just checking because you didn't leave a tip." It was a legit oversight on my part because I was young and wrapped up in the girl I was with. I apologized and gave her a tip out there in the parking lot.
I laughed about it but that was a pretty ballsy move on her part.
