A very silly thing to say. I split my time living between the US and Europe and travel the world, and still look forward to going to Parrains when I'm in BR

You travel the world and Parrain's is on your mind? You sound like a tourist because that is all Parrain's has become...a tourist trap. Used to enjoy going there when they had boiled crawfish. I honestly thought they were some of the better restaurant crawfish around. They got rid of that a few years ago and they have gone down hill since. I have been there 4 times in the past 2 years with worse and worse experiences. From my meal being cold, watiers getting orders wrong and waiter's screwing up bills. I also think there quality has lacked in recent years.I grew tired of it and havent been back in almost 2 years now because of that.

TJ Ribs closed the Prairieville Location more than a year ago

fully aware of that. move everything over to the old sammys location. TJ ribs was always packed. just didn't have enough parking there.

Are you trying to say that TJ Ribs closed because there were so many people there that others couldn't dine in due to parking?

A Parrain's would work so well, they'd always be busy. And yes, I know The Chimes and Parrain's are the same company. There's already a Chimes on Coursey that's not that far away from that old Sammy's location. My vote is for Parrain's.

T.J. Ribs would fail in the Sammy’s location, just as they failed in the other location. There’s nothing special about T.J. Ribs... well, except their wings. Maybe they could open a T.J. Wings?

My go-to is a dozen raw, turtle soup, a side of peanut coleslaw, and a Jucifer.

I have always liked their speciality fish dishes. The one topped with crabmeat and hollandaise is good stuff IMO. Also the couple times a year I crave a fried platter, they do a good job.

I know that you're trolling, but just to set the record straight the Oysters Bienvielle are fantastic.

I'm not trolling. Some of their fish dishes I thought were good 10 years ago and now lack in quality. I really don't think parrains is what it used to be.

Chimes would be great, PVIlle Sammys had a decent outdoor set up

I would change the name to Burden's Landing seeing that it's located on the estate formerly owned by Robert Penn Warren.

As good as it to hop around the world trying new foods, when you start having that as your only option, it begins to pale in comparison to food from the homeland.

Much of Europe lacks spice in their food. Asian sauces and flavors get old. Mediterranean food is all the same after awhile.

I think at the end of the day, everyone gets homesick and wants comfort food. And Parrains hits that spot.

I live in europe 8 months out of the year, and the food gets old.

I lived in BR for 4 years.

Not a tourist.
