Fruited beers aren't my thing, but everyone else seems to be knocking them out the park while Parish struggles.

It's strange because it seems that is what Andrew wanted to do 5 or so years ago before IPAs took off.

Meh, I wouldnt say everyone is knocking it out the park and I wouldnt say Parish struggles, they're hit or miss. I dont have a problem with them experimenting. Sours are becoming more popular within the industry, I was never a fan of them, but now I've got more a taste for them than hazy IPA's.

Some flipping with bids at $53 a 4 pack and haven’t ended, good for the flippers it seems, I’ll drink my order.

GTFO. The real Andrew kicks the shite out of the CrossFit Andrew in every category but IPA and he’s actually a nice guy who values his local customers.

This whole thread is full of people who feel entitled to buy DDH Ghost because they live in south Louisiana and drink Parish beers. Now they're pissed because they slept on the presale and missed out. Now they're taking their ball and going home.

Not really. I had no intention of buying DDH Ghost, yet I still feel the 25 gallon limit kind of shits on some of the regular Parish buyers.

He then felt the need to justify his decision with that sorry response.

But my favorite is the people who got pissed that they missed out and are now trashing the beers Parish makes. GTFO with that.

You seem to be reading only what you want to read out of these posts. I believe most people here believe that it’s Andrews company and he can do what he wants to do. I think most just think that a 10 case limit is a bit ridiculous. I agree the presale is a great idea and was a step in the right direction, but 10 cases just gives off the impression he wants his beer in that secondary market. No one is blaming Andrew for that market. Just for pandering to it.

And, in mine and many others opinion, Parish beers are not what they used to be. Ghost is great, but regular Envie is inconsistent to the point I don’t trust buying a 6 pack anymore. Vert and Bloom were pretty meh. And the 1 bottle I drank so far of DDH Envie wasn’t great, but I’ll give it time. Plan to crack open a bottle this afternoon actually. Now you think any criticism of this beer is simply because I didn’t get DDH Ghost. That is completely false. I’ve been bitching about Parish for over a year now due to their carbonation issues. Not because I hope he goes out of business, but because I’d like to see the beers be what they used to be.

Now regular ghost being year round is great. As long as it’s consistent. Allows me to focus on brewing more sours and saisons if I can always have a good NEIPA in the fridge. But you can’t tell me (or maybe you can) that their beers are consistent. Taste is subjective anyway, and maybe my taste buds have changed, or maybe I just know what I want nowadays, so this all may be moot, but we all just want good beer the way we like it.

Those May batches of Bloom were some of the best Parish beers I've had.

Really? Man I hated that beer. I still have 1 in the fridge. I kept hoping that i was drinking the beer too early and hoping the carb bite would diminish, but I never did.

To each their own.

Stopped reading here. May Bloom was possibly the best Parish beer I've ever had.

You're still salty that Murphy replaced Henry as official Parish mascot.

I'm going to assume a 4 month old bottle of Bloom isn't representative of that beer.

As stated earlier, for my tastes, fresh bloom wasn’t very impressive either.

You may have loved it, and that’s fine. Not every one has the same tastes. Personally, the best Parish beer I ever had was a ghost from the old yeast, 3 or so years ago. I still remember that beer to this day. I was heading to Lake Charles for a friends bachelor party and I picked up 2 growlers and a case of bottles of ghost. It was bright, extremely aromatic, and so dank it smelled like pot. Nothing they have made so far compares to that one batch.

The first batches of Vert and Bloom were very good too. Today’s iteration doesn’t compare, IMO.

I did this for chicken wings. Had an IPA on tap that was getting passed its prime. Came out really good.
