Cons - Don't make customers wait in line forever at the releases. Typing CC numbers into a phone at the register for payment? Really? That is ridiculous.

Pros - The beer is good enough that I still go to the brewery and stand in line for 2 hours just to purchase it.

Never seen anything like what happen? I didn't accuse them of anything. I just said, that I wouldn't go into detail explaining anything away on facebook. Leads to too many trolls trying to get a rise out of you.

One poster stated that Parish tried to take a jab at Gnarly Barley, but I never saw it, so I can't say if it's true or not. That's why I stated, a brewery shouldn't take jabs. Not accusing them of doing so.

So you start a thread about the pros and cons of parish, go on and on about how they should behave on social media and then say you weren’t accusing them of anything.

What the hell was the point of your social media post then?

I shouldve known better than to get involved in one of your meaningless threads. Im out.

Um, yeah. That was my con. I think they should stay away from social media. I didn't accuse them of doing anything on social media, other than responding to some criticisms, not all. Which, IMO, I wouldn't do, other than give a canned response.

Oh I'm sorry, were you so distraught about my OP that you felt compelled to click on the thread? I'm sorry I made you read my post. I'll try to not force you to do that from now on...

You sure showed me.

I appreciate it when business owners give real responses

The only con for Parish for me is I believe they need to work on their special release system better

No limits just seems like you are wanting to piss people off

Other than that, they seem to be quite successful and doing quite well

It worked really well, right up until it didn't.

I do to, I just think containing this to their blog would be better to avoid the trolls.

Agreed.

Yup. This blog post shed some good insight on the studying done by Parish on whether or not to expand. Shows he is constantly studying the market to determine growth.

Didn't realize they were trying to operate completely under no debt, which as the poster said, is admirable.

Pros - Excellent hoppy beers

Cons - I'd like to see them add some diversity and try different things instead of the NEIPA for every release. Better system for specialty releases.

From said blog post:

The point is that there are a ton of people coming to the brewery from out of town on the day of a beer release. How badly would it suck to drive from NOLA to the brewery (2.5 hours away) to be there for when the brewery opens at noon, wait in a line, only to find when you get to the register the beer you came for has sold out?

A lot must have changed between June and December.

I mean more than once a year... Throughout the year we have bloom releases, summer of ghost releases, nova throughout the fall, and 2x or 4x Envie.

The last month or so is the only time they show any variety what-so-ever

No one wants to drink many stouts in the dead heat of Louisiana which is like 10 months out of the year

And grand reserve day has been in November always, right? The holiday season is huge for alcohol people.

I never said anything about stouts, I think they do a great job with the stouts they do brew. There are plenty of beers outside of IPAs that work in the summer

But there were still fills left?

Nope, it was the first afternoon, with people still in line. The first three weekends didn't sell out until DDH Ghost day though.
