couldn't disagree more with this. you could get a metric frick ton of pizza for cheap at papa murphy's.

I agree. $10 gets you a huge pizza. Significantly larger than any takeout place, and cheaper.

I've never been inside one and I've heard plenty of people rave about their pizza. I just don't want to make a stop to buy a frozen pizza

Wal-Mart has a pizza that is comparably as good as something like the chicken bacon artichoke pizza? I'm honestly curious, I can't remember the last time I was in Wal-Mart, nothing against it it's just out of my way on my route to/from work so I never go there

Seems like death to Papa Murphy's. Not related, but the PM's at Bluebonnet/Perkins recently closed.

it was just the convenience factor working against them.

I think the wal marts, Costcos, etc getting into the take n bake is what really hurt them.

This. The difference is you dont have to be actively looking for pizza to buy one. You can just be shopping like normal. They might have done better building inside walmart like a subway or something.

I've had it before and thought it was quite tasty.

However, I was never tempted to go out and actually buy one myself. Hence the failing business model.

I think it's a great value. Green Bay doesn't have all that great of pizza, so when I head back I often stop and pick one up. They're just coming to the Chicago suburbs now I believe (or at least I'm seeing the commercials). They'd be foolish to try and challenge in the city.

I agree that the idea of having to go to a place you wouldn't otherwise go was their Achilles' heel. If I'm going out of my way, I'm getting something that I don't have to cook myself.

I used to get Papa Murphy's pretty regularly and I thought they had a pretty good product, but the ONLY reason I ever went there was because I literally was unable to get home without passing directly in front of it and never had to make a left turn to get in and out of the parking lot. If I had to go one block out of my way or cross traffic to get to it, I'd likely have never gone.

Since I moved from that house, I haven't set foot in a Papa Murphy's. From two or three times a month to now going on eight or so years without.

I think that sums up the problems with Papa Murphy's pretty well.

If you're stopping in to Walmart to get pizza, you're still stopping to get pizza, so that objection is kind of out the window.

Yea, and I'd have to go to walmart for it. I opt for death before that.

I agree with his point though. Sub out WalMart with any other grocery store that does take and bake pizzas. Papa Murphy's tastes fine, but I've only had it at other people's houses. If I'm leaving the house specifically for pizza, I will just go to a good pizza restaurant where I can eat it immediately.

I see what isn't your stong suit... I said you can buy them while shopping. Pass by and decide you want one for later. Doesnt have to be cooked right away
