Will be in town for a wedding this weekend. Looking for a spot on Saturday afternoon for good raw oysters, cold beer, and sports on the tv's. Where would you go?

trying to eat in or pick up?
have not tried them at any restaurants, only picked up from Crawfish on the Geaux and at Rouses, both of which were very good.
When I do sit down to eat crawfish I enjoy Heads and Tails Seafood

I just said the other day I was surprised Sammy's didn't do oysters. Clearly I was wrong.
Had a couple dozen at Phil's on Monday for $0.50 night and they were large and great.

Mike Andersons.
Also Mansurs. Very good there too (don't remember if they have a TV in the bar).

I definitely understand that. Mike Anderson's also has pretty good Crawfish but theyre usually a little expensive compared to other places around town. Not sure if Phil's has Crawfish or not.

Sammy's on Highland has been my go to for crawfish lately.
It used to be Porch Light in Prairieville, but their quality has gone way downhill this year.
I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard Chow Yum Phat on Perkins has a great Asian twist crawfish.

Great bar area inside and an outside deck...
Do not go to Jolie pearl downtown...oysters cost a fortune....
