Mike Andersons is not "that" bad,.. Although it's been on the decline the last few times I've been there. You also have Pat's in Henderson. Or Blue Dog in Lafayette

head down to LP and bring him to Val's. Get the sampler. You're welcome.

If this board is so anti-Boutins, how can Ralph and Kacoos even be mentioned? (I'm talking current R&K, not the original)

or maybe not, IMO. Just saying.

I like it. The food is good. This board is so weird.

How about the Popeyes at the Corner of Pinhook and S College?

That is a true statement.

I remember going to R&K's as a kid and it was awesome. Been a couple time in the last five years and I'll be surprised if Red Lobster doesn't put them out of business.
It's just not that good, edible, but not good.

Eta: I'm EXTREMELY picky with my seafood and I liked the place. Must have hit it on a couple good nights

quote:Thats a damn shame. I really liked the food and atmosphere. I always say, if you want seafood done right, ya gotta do it yourself. It's a shame we don't have a blow you away type of seafood restaurant in the area... Never consistent. Vals is the only place that has "tasted the same for 30 years" as my dad would say....

I always order a seafood platter when trying out a new restaurant... You can tell as soon as they bring it out to you if you'll ever be back or not.. Really saddens me ab Blue Dog

Have you tried Charlie's in Springfield? That place does it right. It's not fancy by any means but the food is good...the portions are huge...and the price is right.
