which bww did you go to, to have such a terrible time? you sound like a blast to hang with.

been to the one in Shreveport before and also went to the one on Perkins back in college. both terrible.

you act like i would go there everyday or all the time. I barely even eat fried food or wings.

despite that, you sure are quick to come to their defense.

name them.
cooter browns and walk ons are the only ones I really go to to watch a game.

There are, literally, too many to name. The two you mentioned obviously, then there's Manning's, Rusty Nail, District, Rendezvous, Henry's, Rum House, and countless bars and restaurants in both the French Quarter and especially in Metairie where they have beer, food and tons of TVs featuring sports.

quote:

I was actually surprised that you hate Bourdain b/c you come off as pretty damn pretentious on here.

I don't "hate" Bourdain, just prefer Guy Fieri's more light-hearted show. But thanks for the personal attack.

I'm defensive by nature sorry. I'm not defending it as the best sports bar ever, I'm just saying that its not the worst place to catch a game or UFC fight (there are actually some people that don't wear affliction and don't look like wanksters that are fans)
Rusty Nail- I'm not big on that place. there's only a couple tvs.
Rum House- umm I would never watch a game there. not enough tvs.
Mannings- everytime I go, there are no tables avail. looks cool but everybody on here says it sucks as well.
Rendezvous- only been once. doesn't seem like the ideal place to watch a game.
District- not bad. drinks are high. im ot poor.
Metry- I only go to Metry to go to the mall or work. It's a little far to get drunk and drive home or cab it home.
As for the personal attack- you know your food and i respect that. You basically said anybody that watches UFC or the fans are bottom feeders. so you started it. nah nah boo boo.

I'm counting 6 in my head.

Rum House- umm I would never watch a game there. not enough tvs.

Any big game they always have on at least 4 TVs and 2 projectors.

Mannings- everytime I go, there are no tables avail. looks cool but everybody on here says it sucks as well.

Never been. Probably better than BWW though.

quote:

Rendezvous- only been once. doesn't seem like the ideal place to watch a game.

Oh yeah.. there's only like 258 TVs in there and they have the best drink prices in uptown.

Henry's is very similar.

District- not bad. drinks are high. im ot poor.

Place sucks.

Where exactly is the BWW going to be located in Nola? I forget.

Maybe in other cities, but BR's BWW brings out a ghetto crowd.

I haven't had the horrid service experiences that a lot of people on here have said they had before, but nothing was ever extraordinary either. The food is just okay. I prefer Plucker's.

Atmosphere is really important to me as far as watching games, because let's face it.. I could really watch the game on my couch. If I'm going to pay to go somewhere to watch a game, I go somewhere where the majority of the patrons care about the game as well. BWW is always fat scary women with 10 kids... at least at the Bluebonnet location.

I went a few times in college because the local one had a cheap wing night.. like 15 or 25 cents for bone in/boneless

I've only been once since.. just not my kind of place.

The atmosphere is nice. The food sucks donkey balls. Hooter's wings are 10x better. And actually made fresh.

Too bad he viewed bars as such a menace to society and refused to step foot in them. So much untapped gold
