Big Easy Whiskey on the rocks is your answer.

they are all basically the same…brown sugar, water, sugar and some sort of complimentary flavoring. Simple syrup is easy enough to make but it’s not shelf stable and one of those bottles will last a long time.
even easier I guess would be to go old school and muddle a sugar cube

Multiple companies sell these mixtures. Which means people buy them. The guy just wants a rec on a good one. Why are you even in the thread if you have nothing to offer?
I’m trying to understand the thought process behind WHY. This could possibly help better inform a suggestion for him.
I’m not exactly sure why he, and now you, are making this a bigger issue than it needs to be.

Pheris and James. About $8 -10. I use less than it calls for, so it lasts. I add a dash of bitters and a cherry, but you can just use the mix.

Was the thread title "Help make a a fat try-hard idiot a believer in pre-made Old Fashioned mixes"? If so you have a point. If it's not the point of thread, which it's not, you're just being a fat idiot with nothing to contribute. It's painfully obvious you're trying to goad the dude into an argument for making his own Old Fashioned mix. Which is what fat try hard idiots do. Hope that helps

2:1 is shelf stable.
The recipe I use:
* 30g molasses
* 277.5g White sugar
* 150g water

Sure man. Sorry that a bartender that liked to make simple syrups showed you up once or stole your lover lol. The world’s gonna keep turning.

I use Smokeshow brand mix. They have a few different varieties. They're all very serviceable.

After years of tinkering and trying to find or make the perfect concoction, I just buy Gum Syrup (Liber & Co) and have a variety of bitter (orange, black walnut, etc).

I've used this one before, and it was good for what it was. Nothing that fancy, but it will get the job done when I am feeling lazy.

Toof any place that actually sells it locally?
I've used the Sirop one which is good but it is a little sweet. The price has jumped up on it alot.
I know people who buy a small bottle of Steens and just water it down a tad and use that as their base.
