Made my way back to New Orleans for the first time in about a month, so I had to do my level best to eat everything in sight. I took some pictures along the way.

I met my girlfriend at her parents house in Harahan Friday afternoon. We were both starving so she suggested we try Seither's. Ordered a dozen of the biggest oysters I've seen in a long while, fried green tomatoes, and fries. Why fries? Why the hell not.

We had tickets to Boudin, Bourbon and Beer later that night. Last year was my first year to attend and I loved it, despite the crowds. This year however it was almost miserable, too many assholes don't understand the grab your food and move concept.

I thought the food overall this year was just ok. I managed to snag a few pictures when I remembered, the best thing I had was the backbone stew from Boucherie-outfrickingstanding.

The carnitas from Johnny Sanchez(who woulda thunk it), the boudin from Cotton, and the whole hog from the guys set up next to Boucherie were the other standouts for me. There were a TON of boudin noir dishes this year.

That outrageous backbone stew.

Like I said, I took pictures when we remembered, but there just wasn't a lot that I was excited about.

Had to show some love to the hometown boy. I told Chris I drove 6 hours just to see him, which was a total lie I just wanted some free shite at Underbelly.

The bands this year were better than last, St Paul and the Broken Bones rocked.

The rest of the weekend to come...please stand by to stand by.

Saturday we went to PECHE!!!!!1!!! for lunch. Ordered the seafood platter, whole fried speckled trout, a cobia collar and a salty pecan pie for dessert. That seafood platter and the pie made my day.

We made our way up to Baton Rouge around 330-400 for the LSU game. These next two pictures would be the highlight of the entire game-a chicken sammich and the team running out on to the field.

Sunday was a birthday party for my girlfriend's neice and nephew during the day. We ended up going to Domenica for a late dinner-whole cauliflower, squid ink pasta, and a prosciutto and arugula pizza.

You could put that whipped goat cheese on dog shite and I'd eat it.

All in all, a decent eating weekend in New Orleans. We've certainly done worse for ourselves. I'll be back in a couple weeks for more gluttony.

I was thinking the football game pics were at least sort of apropos that way, though.

Yeah I got nothing. They look fine to me, but apparently the image hosting website rotated a few of them (all of them).
