Visited some friends in Metairie yesterday and they took us to Phil's Grill in Harrahan. Gotta say, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had.

I guess the three tries I gave that place were all off days. I cannot understand why everyone likes Phil's, yet it is pretty much universally praised.

There's a Phils in the CBD on Camp street now. Went recently..though it was alright. I enjoyed the wealth of toppings.

Was at the dentist the other day and my appointment got delayed. Dr had an emergency patient in the chair that cracked a tooth eating a turkey burger at Phil's.

only two correct answers: houston's and bud's broiler. the rest i don't even bother with cuz they all taste the same.

Troll.

Houston's taste the same as all other Houston's burgers.

Hell if you going Chain fare, Copeland's and Gordon Biersch have much better burgers.

Bud's isn't bad, but flame grilled is the main flavor and you can get that at BK.

The quality you get at Company or the attention to detail from High Hat or Yo Mamas tells me that you really haven't tried many places.

Phil's is extremely over-rated, IMHO, and over-priced for what you get. Not bad, but far from "great".

Been 3 or 4 times with friends/co-workers- don't see what the big deal is.

The burgers at Walk-On's are better, and that's not saying much.

I still like Port of Call and Lakeview Harbor the best in the city, and that opinion has not changed much in 15+ years.

The only people I know that savor over Phil's Grill are Jeff Parish trash.

I liked Luke's burger, but I may be biased because I ate it right before heading into the Dome for the NFC Championship against the Vikings and have nothing but great memories from that day.

Tru Burger,Lakeview Harbor, and Company Burger are all pretty good, but nothing outstanding.

I haven't tried Juicy Lucy's, Atomic Burger, or the new Five Guys in MidCity.

For bar burgers I like Beachcorner and Yo Mamma's.

Cowbell and High Hat are easily the kings of the city.

I find Lakeview Harbor/Port of Call burgers to be overrated; they're bland IMO.

I love Cowbell and Company Burger. And I've heard High Hat's burgers are great; I'll order one there when I go.

I don't seek out burgers when I am in New Orleans, but I really enjoyed Barcadia's fried egg and praline bacon burger.

I've never had the burgers from BooKoo but some of them look too big to eat/handle without everything falling off the burger.

There should be no debate on this in my opinion. Top 3 by a landslide.

Gotta throw in La Petite Grocery in that Second Tier.
