The Mechahopzilla design is basically Toho's design eating hops. Maybe nothing comes of it, but it does appear to be way more blatant than Terrapin's design.
I wouldn't be surprised if they have to rename and re-brand it.

I agree. By using the name and the monster, they probably crossed the line. I'm not sure Kirk wants to spend a bunch of money and time fighting this shite.

Hopefully they re-work the recipe as well. Needs more late hops and dry hops with fewer bittering hops.

I don't see a rebranding happening

NOLA will be lucky if this is all they have to do. Toho is seeking triple damages for "wrongfully obtained profits"
'triple damages' would be a great beer name... maybe NOLA can use that as the new name for Mecha.

Don't worry, he will soon be claiming how "butthurt" y'all all are for calling him out on this silliness.

1. Yes that would be awesome and a great beer name. Lagunitas did the same sort of thing, when they almost got shut down for selling weed, however their brewers just gave the undercover agents weed, didn't sell it. It's called undercover investigation shutdown ale. I just read the lagunitas book. It's pretty interesting.
2. Toho is a bitch. NOLA is a small brewery, and i'd bet they just started seeing profits maybe last year. It takes a lot of startup and a lot of expansion before you start making actual money off of a brewery. So now Toho is going to sue them for triple damages? I hope they get defeated quickly. Just more bullshite that breweries have to deal with, that no other industry really does.

lolz. anybody can take a 5 minute look at your post history and see how you personally attack pretty much every poster you come across. I'm done with you. you're a clown.
and per the OP .. this story keeps getting picked up by different sites and news outlets. has to be doing wonders for their brand recognition.
