Just finished up my tour with NOLA Brew Bus Tour. I didn't document as well as I should have nor am I a connoisseur of beer, so bear with me. I actually won this from a giveaway on the OT a year ago and finally had some time to redeem it with my buddy, BeauxNArreaux. They pick you up in the Quarter and take you to 3 different New Orleans breweries, kinda at random depending on what's going on at each brewery at the time of the tour, and they give you 5 tokens to redeem at any of the breweries you go. We started at Port Orleans. I was a little bummed cause we couldn't get their Douze Bourbon Barrel aged beer with tokens, so I settled for the Dorada (no pics). It's a Mexican lager so it tasted like a better Dos Equis with more spice on the finish. From there we went to NOLA brewery where we did the tour, got the whole spiel on how beer is made and see where the beer is brewed. I tried the Hoppyright infringement IPA (no pics) and the Revivalist APA . I'm still relatively new to pale ales so I preferred the Revivalist over the Hoppyright but I enjoyed both. We then made our way to Urban South, which is personally my favorite brewery in NOLA. They had just released a couple new Gose today, which I have never had. I decided to try the Lemongrass wheat. It was like a Moscow Mule but in the form of a beer. It was hot as hell down here, so it was very refreshing. Holy Roller is one of my go-to's but I decided to be adventurous and try their new IPA, the Soulstice which one bartender described as being a "juicier" version of Holy Roller. I think I still prefer Holy Roller, but it was still a solid IPA.

Overall, we had a great time. BeauxNArreaux and I are NOLA transplants so it was cool getting to see the city and hear from these guys about the history of NOLA and it's growing craft beer scene. I would highly recommend this if you want to enjoy an easy set up for a trip to a few breweries. The guides were great and very knowledgeable about the beers on tap at each place. Thank you Matt and Dario for a great time!

Man, I went to Urban South the first time not long after they opened and there were a few picnic tables and maybe a dozen people. That place has grown a lot and picked up a huge following over the course of a couple years. It's been well-deserved.

I’ve taken several brewery bus tours in different cities and the NOLA Brew Bus was by far the best experience I’ve had with one. It’s the only one I’ve done more than once. Plus their logo is really dope. Our tour guide rocked a bad arse Brew Bus tank top both times I went. I want to get one of those.

Enjoyed having y’all on the tour today and thanks for the great write up!

It’s nice to have locals on the tour since we mostly cater to visitors looking for a fun experience.

Also, we just signed a lease in the French Quarter on Decatur st. Same block as Molly’s...we got some big things planned..

This thread delivers.

I've had a few good rides in the NOLA Brew Bus outside of tour hours, back in the day when it was still a small company and not the large corporation with the fleet of buses it has become
