You paid a flat rate for a booth. Prior to this season, you handled your own payment forms and for some vendors, they had way better transaction fees for cc payments. Its going to put a huge hurt on the smaller food vendors. There's another well known, longstanding food vendor, who has let it be known to JF that they can kiss his arse after this year.

Quint Davis is a greedy mofo. Hate this for the vendors.

hat said, as mentioned earlier, the data network at JF is often spotty and could lead to nightmares
its in the middle of a major metropolitan area. i've been to music festivals out in the middle of nowhere and they've managed RFID wristbands just fine

its much more convenient for the customer and actually increases revenue due to convenience and ease of use. just tap the wristband and go. this is an investment that is long since overdue for an event like jazz fest

I agree it’s needed.
I just fear what a clusterfrick it’s going to be the first weekend they roll it out. We’ve seen other much smaller events struggle a lot with doing it at first

Who would that be?

I don't know if I blame him for sure of if it's just a big jump in the cost of putting JF on or they want to contribute more to their charities or what, but it's gotten very hard for the vendors.

I used to volunteer at a beer booth for a non-profit out there and it was getting stupid how little of the actual sales they were getting. Tips were always a bigger part of the $$ than sales, but the beer prices keep going higher and higher so I'm not sure how good the tips are even for these groups.

And the last 4 or 5 years they have put more and more of the guys walking around selling beer. They will stand right in front of the beer booths at times.

According to the ingredients list, Pan's crawfish bread uses:

bread dough
mozzerella cheese
crawfish
onions
mild cheddar cheese
celery
spices
"flavoring"

That's it!

Crawfish bread + mango freeze = the best.

Any thoughts what the flavoring would be? I can understand spices is probably just Cajun seasonings but flavoring?

Legally, if it was MSG they'd have to say that, so that's out.

It's way down the list, so there's not much of it - maybe it's a pinch of Tony's.

Sucks if they are screwing vendors but crawfish bread has always been overrated
