One of my friends just recently bought his first house and I wanted to get him a nice bottle of whiskey as a house warming gift. What are some good recommendations in the mid-price range? $50-60
TIA
TIA

Depends on your definition of "mid". 50-75 dollars? $100?

I always wonder why people post threads asking for something very specific without giving specific details. If you want a specific whiskey recommendation based off of price, then you have to give a price range because “mid-tier” can mean something different for so many people.
That being said, Eagle Rare.

Also depends on where you are located what may be available

What’s the new home owner like to drink?
“Whiskey” covers a shite ton of options
It would help if you knew if it’s Scotch, bourbon, or hell even a particular drink would help.

Well not sure if he has a decent bottle collection but any of these would work at 60 ish
Old Forester 1920
4RsB or single barrel
Willet pot still reserve
EHT small batch or single barrel
Maybe check for a store pick or something barrel proof

Stop by Calandro's and pick up a bottle of barrel picked Elijah Craig. That's my go to when I want a tasty bourbon. There are certainly more expensive bourbons around, but for the price that's a very solid choice.

I’ve really been enjoying Old Elk single barrel

E. Craig is fine option but when I give something like bourbon as a gift. I feel it's the perfect opportunity to branch out and try something new or out of the ordinary. Something that either party would usually not buy for them selves. Calandros for sure, and just pick out something that catches your eye in your price range.

Absolutely! Really it comes down to what your friend can afford and what you want to spend to show him how much you like him. For my BFF, it's single barrel EC all day, and he'd love it. For my boss, I need to move to the $80 range.

Excellent choice.
Or something from High West.
I scored one of these for $65 @ Spec's

I’d go with two handles of Jim Beam.

That’s why we love you arse.
For something a little out of the ordinary, consider this one that just released.
Bob Dylan Approved
Or if he’s a big sports fan, go to Oak Point in Central and pick up the store pick SAOS107 with Alleva and Goodell with clown noses. Not just a conversation piece, but a terrific pour, and under $50.
