Get out your smokers because the next challenge ingredient is BRISKET!
The way it worked out, there won’t be a challenge in July, but get ready for August.
I’ll be making another post about the August challenge a little later. In the meantime, get your wheels turning! Mine will have to turn extra hard, because I don’t smoke meat or grill. I’ll think of something. Will you?

My mom made a mean brisket in the oven

I have done brisket sous vide and in the pressure cooker with good to great results.
That said, this challenge calls for low and slow on the smoker.

The hotdogs I did a while back were brisket
Only other way I did them was smoked on the grill. How was the SV one? A whole packer?

Getting my ingredients today
I won't be smoking either, Darla (though I did finally learn to last year!), so you have company.

No, just the flat, and it ended up really tasty, but more tender than a traditional smoked cut.

I think that's certainly the most popular method, but I hope to see it done in other ways in this challenge. ETA: We see smoked brisket on this forum quite often.
I've had oven brisket with a wonderful gravy. It can be braised as well or made into a stew. Beef vegetable soup made with brisket is very tasty.
ETA: Even smoked brisket leftover meals could be interesting.

A brisket rice and gravy is an awesome camp meal.
