Yeah for real. I'm trying to help this cat out and he gets butt hurt for no reason. Doesn't make sense to me. But whatever. I'm sure he'll figure it out. There's only 10 restaurants on every block.

I tell you exactly what I'm looking for and your dumbass still needs more direction. Nobody else had problems making recommendations. I ask about food and people wanna tell me what tours to go on. Feel like I'm riding the short bus and I can't get off.

So my wife and I love NYC. There is a great spot on 9th Ave by 46th called Amy's Bread or Amy's Bakery. Fantastic place to get your day started.

Dinner- I always enjoy Patsy's on E59th and then go get a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity. Favorite steakhouse has been Old Homestead.

I have cousins in the city if you want to shoot me an email I can get many more recommendations for you. Email is my username at yahoo

No. I heard this same thing and went a few months ago and it was by far the most overrated place that I visited on my trip. The restaurant is so poorly conceived that it's a complete clusterfrick in there. I'm assuming it was one of Batali's first restaurants and he just had to make due with the space because it was awful. The entrance alone and bar made me want to leave. And I thought we ended up having one of the best tables upstairs and it was still a shite show. Waiter kind of sucked and I found it pretentious. Food was good but nothing that overcame everything else.

Places I went on the my last trip a few months ago.

High End:
Babbo- see above, I wouldn't return.

Mas (Farmhouse)- had the tasting menu, it was great, service was phenomenal, really enjoyed it. Really off the beaten path and if I wouldn't have been told about it ahead of time I would have never known it existed.

Craft- really enjoyed my meal here. Went early because we went to see a play after, but I really liked it. Had the braised short ribs.

Lunch Spots:

Red Farm- best place I went to while on my last visit. Small little place that serves dinner as well. Dim sum and stuff like that but in a very small environment. Loved this place and would go all the time if I lived there.

Lombardi's Pizza- good pizza spot. I like Grimaldi's (the one in Brooklyn) more but still good.

Momofuku Noodle Bar- cool place, good vibe, really enjoyed it. Lot of beer, lot of pork sticky buns and a solid noodle bowl.

We went other places as well but those were the ones coming to mind.

No better pizza: Lombardi's Pizza- good pizza spot. I like Grimaldi's (the one in Brooklyn) more but still good.

Call Amex and Ask to pull strings into PerSe.

I believe Grimaldi's in Brooklyn is now closed. I will support Lombardi's but also suggest Lucali in Brooklyn- Freakin YUM

What is Patsy's? I feel like someone has mentioned that before. Is it in upper east side?

There is a Patsy's Italian restaurant in the upper 50's on the west side. Not to be confused with Patsy's pizzeria, which has multiple locations, or Pastis, which is a great French bistro in the meat packing district.

Patsy's is an old Italian restaurant in Midtown. Sinatra used to frequent and it has lived off that for a while.

MEH....Tourist trap. I like Roxy better. Located very close to Marriott Marquis.
One of my favorite diners is George's in the Financial District . Where New Yorkers go to eat.
