What time and temp are y'all using for these? I have one about 1.5" in my fridge now.

no doubt... I've got a newly formed list... pork chops, pork loin, chicken breast, corn on the cob, filet...

I don't have one of these but I am interested in getting either a sous vide or instapot for my father for Father's Day.

Can someone suggest best brands/models?

Pretty sure I did thick cut pork chops at 135 for about 2 hours last time and they were pretty damn tasty.

Last weekend I did 48 hour Korean beef ribs that came out amazing. I actually intended to do 24 hours, but my Mom wanted to babysit so my wife and I went out Friday night and I just left them going until Saturday night.

Brisket also works really well in sous vide, heavy salt and pepper, 24 hours @ 155 then smoke finish for 2-3 hours.

My buddy has an Anova and he says it's annoying to only be able to control it through their App via Bluetooth. And I want to say when he installed the App he had to link it to his Facebook account or something. Not sure how accurate that is, but when he gave me the Gramercy Kitchen one he commented that it doesn't require an App to use.

As a BBQer, I would have never believed it until trying it. Phenomenal.

Eggs. Seriously good soft cooked eggs.

Serious Eats has a ton of sous vide stuff on their website. Check that out as well.

Might have a different model but I can set it manually or use bluetooth on the Anova I have.

Same here... and I have not once in almost three years (I think) connected via bluetooth. Just turn it on, set the temp, let it go.

I use mind for perfectly cooked pop tarts. Place those bad boys in when going to bed at 10pm, inside is perfectly warm gooey for the kids without burning their mouths to eat before school.

When I have time in the morning, I’ll take them out the bag and toss in the toaster on the hottest temp for 12 seconds just to get the outside toasty.

This is pretty similar to how I make grilled cheese sandwiches.

What's your ideal temp for pop tarts? I might have to try this tonight.

Have you tried pancakes yet? Maybe drop some batter in a ziploc and let it go overnight? A little butter and syrup in the bag might make a heavenly breakfast.
