Heading down to New Orleans tonight and tomorrow night with the wife and another couple for the Justin Timberlake concert. Looking for some recommendations on nice restaurants and also non-Bourbon St. bars. Posted this on the Travel board but they recommended to post here.

We like to go to the French restaurants. Cafe Degas, LPG, N7, Cafe Amalie...Hotels usually have great bars if you like nicer places. The Ritz for example.

The usual suspects for me are Irene's or Mr. B's.

If you're staying away from the Quarter, check out Saba on Magazine.

1. What area are you staying in?

2. What kind of bar?
Local dive? Fancy Cocktails? Roof Top? Wine? Crafty Beers?

I really like Peche, Avo, and Josephine Estelle.

The last list of bars was pretty inclusive. Shouldn't be too difficult to find something you'll enjoy.

Where are you staying? What are you looking for in a restaurant and bar?

Every restaurant worth going to is "nice" and there are tons of bar options that arent on bourbon

Pretty open on this. Like outdoor but it will be pretty cold. Whiskey, martinis, wine, and beer drinkers. Enjoy live music but not necessary. Likely harder to find on a Monday/Tuesday night I assume.

NOFOX made a pretty damn good list, although long.

If you aren't tied to an area near your hotel, you could hit up Lilette and go next door to Bouligny Tavern for drinks.

Also, if you're wanting to go somewhere for craft cocktails you could go to Cure for drinks (one of the better craft cocktail bars in the country).
