Not much to hate on except for the name. The location and concept sound great to me.

Baton Rouge has the dumbest named restaurant/bars per capita in the US

Happy that's BR Mid-City, or A1's day joke.

Did Jon Taffer name this place?
I can’t wait to try the Huey Long Island Iced Tea made with Bacardi Orange and Crown maple.

As opposed to an anti- neighborhood bar? The terms these types come up with are always hilarious

Would be nice to see news of a bar/restaurant opening not immediately met with criticism on here for once.

Isn’t there already one of these on college?

Agreed on the name but I think Nola will always hold the title of bad/pretentious restaurant names.

I actually don't hate that concept. That seems like a slam-dunk for that neighborhood. Seeing how the "Beer Garden" still hasn't come to fruition and Curbside isn't open late, the only real "bar" in that area is Phil Brady's and Radio Bar. I spend a lot of time at Phil Brady's, but it's an old man bar where PBR is the closest thing to craft beer. Radio Bar is ok, but there's no tv's for watching sports, no regular food service, and no live bands. If this new concept has tvs, I'll be a regular.

The beer garden is currently under construction on the corner of steele and government. Supposed to be done this summer. Unless you were meaning it hasn’t opened yet

The beer garden was announced when I moved to the neighborhood 5 years ago, and it still isn't done. I'll believe it when I see it finally open.

He was almost ready to break ground with the flood hit. The prices of materials naturally skyrocketed and he decided to delay build until materials came down in price.

What is a "Hayride Scandal"? Cousins getting busy in the pickup?

I agree. I’ll take any additions to mid city. I don’t even hate the name really.

I'm willing to give it a shot.
