They are that good, but if you don't like them raw or fried, you probably won't think much of them grilled honestly. It's not your fault that your tastebuds suck.

They're good, but I prefer raw.

Meh, not sure about that, several in my family will not touch them raw but bring them to dragos and....................well..................they are all over them!

Yes you are.

My wife won't touch them any other way. I do them like Drago's and I do an Italian baked type, they are slamming.

we had a thread on this on here the other day .. city cafe at o'neal and george o'neal has excellent chargrilled oysters .. a dozen with bread runs $15.99 most nights .. on tuesdays, they are .89 each .. pair that with their happy hour $3 pints of NOLA Blonde and you are living the life ..

acme oyster house and parrain's are pretty good too .. i know mike anderson's has them, but i have never had them there ..

I have several family members who WOULD NOT eat an oyster. Until one night at Drago's i convinced them to try the chargrilled. Now they constantly want to go back for more.

was in new orleans with tiger band for bcs weekend. had no idea what drago's was, but I think it was either very near to or connected to our hotel, so a few of us checked it out. I decided to split the char-grilled oysters with a friend at the slight chance that I was in a "frick it, i got money to spend" state. Boy were those oysters a pleasant surprise

I really can't think of another food that tastes so radically different when prepared differently. I love raw, fried , or grilled but it amazes me how unique each one tastes.

Awaiting the fun to begin, seems that I will be one of the guinea pig for the procedure.

Good luck buddy. Do not under any circumstance go toward 'the light', no matter how inviting it may seem.

ETA: Chargrilled oysters are too easy to make to pay almost $20 for a dozen. I'd rather another app most of the time. They're good, I'd just prefer to make a shite load if I'm getting into them. Like eating one crab...keep it.
