Can't use them...I don't serve my guests while wearing a hairnet.

That wasn't funny the first time and it's not funny now, Otis. Think up something else, at least. I don't even get what you're talking about with the hairnet thing. Lots of restaurants require employees to wear hairnets, scarves and the like, but they don't have divider plates. They do have multiple plates for a la carte items, though! Get a grip my friend!

This isn't about all foods. I use regular plates a lot of the time, probably most of the time. I prefer sectional when the entree and/or the sides are "juicy". I prefer not to have all of those juices mixing together. I like to taste the individual flavors of my foods. Making a nice strong gravy is pretty pointless if the pot liquor from my mustard greens is going to run up in it and dilute it. I don't care for the flavor of gravy and mustard green pot liquor together. I love both separately. May as well cook them all together otherwise.

All foods may go to the same place in your body, but that doesn't mean they must all travel the route at the same time shoveled in the mouth such that the palate isn't able to distinguish what is what. Again, just cook them all together.

I don't care if food slightly touches. I do care if all the juices or foods run together when there is fluidity. My foods don't generally touch because I don't load my plate such that every space is full of food. That's not pleasing to the eye and I won't eat that much at one time, anyway.

How people can't understand these bolded points or consider them "childish" is beyond me.

Yes the food ends up in the same place.. but last I checked your stomach doesn't have taste buds. If you're just eating not to die and get no pleasure from flavor that's one thing - but for those who enjoy food it should be completely normal to not want to muddle the flavor of each item by combining the plate into one pile of non-nuanced food.

Didn't mean it to be funny. I see that dinnerware, I think hairnet...and cafeteria food.

A warning to my F&DB friends

If you click on GG's link, you will get bombarded with side of your screen advertisements for these plates. It has been two weeks since I first clicked on the link and GG is still sending me her plate company ads.

How many of these have you sold this far, Miz GG?

Bet you never thought I'd figure out that you own the Divided Plate Company?

You're old and have eaten in a lot of cafeterias, apparently. Hairnets and cafeterias never crossed my mind. Flavor does.

MD, I told you to talk to Chicken about those ads. I order a pair of shoes and I see that site in the left column forever. I just looked at some garden sites and now I see those. I wish I owned that site, though. I could help people enjoy flavors by pushing my goods!

Watch out. R2R just more or less agreed with you. Soon you'll be a board pariah.

Did you check out the Angola series in stainless steel? You never know when the in laws might disrespect you at Thanksgiving and a fight break out.

She'd need to replace the net with a do rag to use that set.

I don't care for the metal and those are too big for my table. I think 3 sections is plenty. I'm not feeding animals.

You could have saved a ton of money by simply saving the leftover plates from your next delicious microwave dinner. These also help to promote portion control.

No way. I don't cook whole meals in the microwave and I also frequently warm my plates in the oven. I hate plastic divider plates. Mine are a lovely porcelain. Very high class.

I had a very good hamburger there last week for $2.00. It was on a paper plate and the fries are great.

My wife just bought some rimless plates. I'm not sure if I like them.

That was years ago and before I knew all of the errors of his ways.
