Mustard or Not?

Frying some catfish. I've heard some people put mustard on before rolling in cornmeal. Never tried it. How does it impact flavor and texture? Thanks!

I've done it. Came out great. I've also used a combo of Mustard and egg in a wash.

Absolutely not for me. Not a fan of the taste.
I guess it covers up the taste if the fish isn't quality. Good properly cleaned catfish shouldn't have that nasty catfish flavor anyways.

If it's pond catfish them do it. They tend to have a slight muddy taste.
