Title says it all. In your opinion, what are some of the more overrated food or "foodie" cities in the States?

I'd initially like some idea of what we are deeming "food cities."

Anywhere in Texas
you shut your mouth, but Austin would be an acceptable answer

I don't know if it gets enough hype to be considered overrated, but Savannah did not wow me the way I was expected based on everything I'd read about it.

I wasn't blown away by Seattle. Had some good eats there, but I didn't think it was one of the better cities I had eaten at.
I think Memphis BBQ is a bit overrated like someone said, but I think Nashville is great so I'm good with TN overall.
I think Miami used to be a bad food city, and in the last decade or so has blown up into a great food city

I agree it wasn't that great...

What do you mean by "overated"? My favorite food cities are those that take local food and make them great. So one requirement has to be the food is basically "local". For example, I don't consider an Indian restaurant in the midwest adding to a city being a "food" city.
So for me the list is Chicago and Nashville. Both have great food, but I don't consider Deep dish pizza, steak houses, etc. to be a food city. Same with Nashville, it has some great restaurants but really no local ingredients other than bourbon. This doesn't mean I don't love to go to chicago to get a good dog, pizza, steak, etc. Or that I don't love some hot chicken or eating out in Nashville. I just don't think they can compete with somewhere that has great "local" food.
I know some people will disagree with this.
On the same note, I love eating things like crab and salmon in seattle, New Orleans gulf seafood and creole/ cajun whatever you guys wanna argue about it, Savannah/ Charleston, New England, etc.

Nashville, everywhere seemed to be bragging about farm to table or super fresh local ingredients, but I didn't find anything that great. Hot Chicken is the only thing that impressed me
Memphis BBQ. Very Overrated IMO.

Savannah is a good one, actually. It's certainly fine, but not worthy of the company it's often placed in.

Who rates any Texas city highly for food? If anything, they're underrated.
