I would though have to day Tigahrag is underrated as a food poster. He seems to know a lot of inside information and doesn't bullshite if he likes a place or not

I was going to overrate him. He does contain that good side that you mention, but his ability to sometimes slip into board bitch mode and drag mundane threads out for days at time just for the sake of arguing kind of ruins it.

Opie was underrated.

Seriously, Tiger Attorney is underrated. No matter what props you can give him, it is not enough for all that he knows and tries to share/educate with this board about the N.O. food scene.
When he goes to a different region, he ask for help, experiences the food there, then comes and shares with all of us.
His way of wording things can appeeal to the food snob or the comman man both.

I am sincere in my efforts to find good food anywhere. I just call a spade a spade...which sometimes comes off too harsh.

I was honestly expecting some bitter, drunk responses from Martini and his kin when I started the thread.

nolatiger1997, Solo and zilla: underrated

Zilla's small town restaurant thread is literally somehting a refer to on a weekly basis when I am on the road...just ate a t Boudreaux's in Chackbay this weekend b/c of that thread.

Agreed...also, props to anyone that starts a website, etc centered around something they love...i.e. food/restaurant scene in BR.

Is the website still around?

Well, it was a good idea he had. BR needs exactly that.

I think every city needs harsh critics (this is true for restaurants or anything), who tells it like it is (not give rave reviews to sushi buffets)...in this way restaurant owners and chefs can grow and evolve creating a better restaurant scene in BR.

Without critics, chefs and owners can be lazy.
