I hadn't been there in years and years.

It was a great place at the start but I feel it just stagnated.

Hopefully the people taking it over put something quality there.

A new operator plans to open a new restaurant in the space called Elle-J’s, which is intended as a family-friendly restaurant with Italian dishes, seafood and steaks. It's a safe bet that the wood-fired oven Mondo now uses to cook pizza will likely continue on at Elle-J's.

I went Once

Super unimpressed.

Nothing was seasoned enough.

I really like the burger and their pear and prosciutto pizza is awesome but the rest of the food wasn’t great.

It was solid at first but started declining over the years. The last time I went a few months ago they were out of the two appetizers I wanted and then the entree. I was sort of pissed.

I'd understand going there often if I lived in the neighborhood. The two times I dined there it was good, but nothing worth going out of your way for.

Tried to go last night at 8:30pm. Hostess said they were out of food. I would think you'd want to make as much as possible in your final week when the nostalgic people come in. Place was packed, although the tables looked neglected. Had to go to Three B's instead and find out that they've removed the only thing worth a crap off their menu - the charcuterie board. The landlords of Lakeview are doing us all a disservice jacking up rents and bringing in sh1tty restaurants created by sh1tty restaurateurs that are all destined to fail. The only positive add has been Franchesca's which is awesome. Although I havent been to Rizzuto's yet so maybe that's a win.

What items do you like at Francesa's? I went once and found the Italian sub to be lacking.

The meatball is really solid. I like most of their sandwiches. Pizzas good too, they have one with prosciutto and blackberries that’s excellent. Good for Sunday brunch too. We can agree to disagree on the Italian sub. I get the Italian dressing on the side because sometimes they drench it. But that’s a darn good sandwich.

Three B’s isn’t great (I’ve been once or twice) but it was definitely an upgrade to Lakeview Harbor. Don’t know who else had to move out due to increased rent? Francesca’s is definitely better than Koz’s and Rizzutos is an upgrade to Tony Angelo’s.

I count 11 sub/burger joints on or coming to Harrison.
