Sounds great. Let’s hope they pull it off.

Why did the Sammy’s fail there?

Expanding to a third location in the Greater Baton Rouge area or moving the Gonzales location?

It will do well. I am a fan of their Shrimp Norman, and they have some of the best fried shrimps in town.

I think the consensus is the management ran it down. That’s all I’ve heard.

Owner got into financial trouble and it impacted all the Sammy’s locations
Stabiler took over original location

Prairieville mike andersons will help with taking some of the crowd away from Gonzales which is needed

I heard they were wanting 4MM for that building which is why it sat so long. Wonder if they got it.

No idea why but I know had they simply built the place similar to Chimes East in the bar area the place would have printed money. Back before Covid and the Democrats took over Chimes East there were hordes of folks from this area there several days a week. Mike Anderson's should upgrade that bar area from that horrible straight bar to a horseshoe type and give it some atmosphere. Place will stay packed. I'm hopeful.

Pussy is undefeated

Lotta downvotes, but the place went to shite when the slampiece ran off a lot of the staff and turned it into some strange corporate vibe with a custom drink menu and new menu items.

No doubt at all. The bar did well, but the whole building is like a walking in a Cracker Barrel. Compare to Walkons just a few lights down.

Went there twice, the food wasn't good at all. Never frequented the Highland one, so I can't compare it to that. But nothing that any of us got, either time, was worth getting again.

Glad to see another option there, nice and close to the parents when we visit.

I think it all started when they tried to add the kitchen to the volleyball place off of Burbank.

It's been decades since I ate at Mike Anderson's, but we always went to the one on Bourbon Street. Did that one close?

Agreed. The bar in that place is small and crowed. I went there a good bit. I don’t think I ever got a seat at the bar. In the bar, but not at the bar. A major redesign to that is going to need to happen.
And keep prices up a little to keep the clientele up a little. I will pay more to be surrounded by better people. Sounds snobby, but true.

I think it started with his spending and gambling problem.

There was a rumor floating around the New Roads area a couple years ago that Mike Anderson’s was going to rent/lease Satterfield’s. Maybe Covid ruined that idea?

Wasn't there also a Mike Anderson's location in Hattiesburg at one time?
