See I agree about bulldog, I still go because I know they will have at least Envie or Jucifer on tap, but they don't have the selection they use to.

I think half of the bars in Baton Rouge have this on tap.

Well all the bars in town have seen management changes and like someone mentioned, the beer geeks have definitely dispersed.
At the end of the day, attracting the crowds is priority #1 and I know the beer garden is killing it on that level.

Yup, but none of them have a decent outdoor area like the Bulldog.

Just curious, what does this mean?

Why would Southern Craft beers surprise you?
I was more surprised with the variety that Southern Craft has been putting out.

Looks like they have expanded their menu since opening and now has a pretty nice looking brunch menu. Menu items look just like the old Chelsies menu. Any reviews on food?

Food isn't bad, grilled cheese is on point and the place is always packed for brunch now.

The grilled cheese was just like the old Chelsea's grilled cheese. This is a good thing.

Are dogs allowed?
Why? I don't understand people who think they need to drag their damn dog everywhere they go like it's a fricking little kid who can't be left alone at home.
"I have to take my dog everywhere I go so people can see I'm a good pet owner" must be the mentality associated with this mental illness.

My dog is my homie. She likes beer and being outside of the house.

Then sit on your patio and get her sloshed.
Don't get me wrong, I had dogs most of my adult life and a good bit of my life as a kid and they had a good life with me. That said, I'd never take a dog into a bar or other business, especially one where food is being served. But I see it all the time now.
I can't tell you how many times dogs have been stepped on, gotten hit by darts bouncing out dart boards, getting underfoot and almost tripping people in bars just because their owners think they can't live without them in their company.

Spoken like a former pet owner, not a dog lover. There’s a huge difference.
Neither is better or worse than the other, it’s just some people look at dogs like family and others merely a pet.

So, do you bring you dog to every house you're invited to for a party or cookout? If you do, and you don't get the hosts permission, you're being downright rude imposing your mutt on their guests.
Would you bring a cat or a gerbil to their house-----probably not, but they are also pets. Leave the flea bags at home. Believe me, they'll survive your absence.

Of course I don’t. That is way different than a business like a restaurant with ample patio space. Someone’s home is very personal and I totally respect and understand them not wanting a dog around. But a dog friendly restaurant or brewery is way different than someone’s home.
What’s your stance on kids under the age of 10 at a wedding? Some people are downright adamant that it is rude and inconsiderate to have a kid friendly wedding, while others see the other side as being rude for not allowing everyone regardless of age to the wedding.

Considering they advertise to bring your pup I don't get it, I can see if a place doesn't advertise or normally allow it but so many do. Red Zepplin, Bulldog, Chimes East, Londoner, any brewery not named Gilla, Mid-City, etc

That is the business owner's decision whether or not to allow dogs on premises. I will avoid those places for the most part especially if they are allowed inside the business. I have nothing against folks with dogs sitting outside on benches or at tables with their dogs. I have all the space in the world to avoid them if I so choose.
But I've seen people bring dogs to businesses that don't advertise "Dog Friendly" and I personally like to not be in a bar with dogs walking around underfoot, especially if it gets crowded.

I have no problem with that if that is what the couple being married wants. It is their day to do as they please, so why should I have an issue.
I'm not against kids as I've raised a few of my own, but I do know mine were well mannered and didn't act like brats, unlike some out there who's parents seem to look the other way when they act up.

No one is inviting you to a wedding.
