Heading to Memphis this weekend...have done most of the BBQ joints (will hit Commissary again though).

Looking for more local spots with a little more variety...will have two kids under 4 in tow

Also, brewery ideas are welcome too, only know about Wiseacre

Any recs are appreciated!

Check out crosstown concourse in midtown. There’s a farm burger, ice cream place, brewery, etc.
Loflin yard is a cool downtown spot. Usually there’s music. Kids can make s’mores, play corn hole, run around

Brother Junipers for Breakfast.

Tops BBQ - Don't get the BBQ. Get the cheeseburger.

Hueys has a great burger also.

Central BBQ Get the wings and the muddy ribs. Probably the best wings and ribs I have ever had. Also don’t make the mistake of getting brisket at any of the BBQ places, it’s not a cut they do well in that town

We enjoyed Central BBQ for lunch . The sandwich was good but not anything I’d go out of the way for.
Aldo’s pizza was wonderful.

Appreciate all the responses...Loflin Yard was on our radar, and while we've seen the Peabody ducks the kids would love it.

Gus's is normally a stop every time but there's one here in Nola so if we don't get there, it's ok.

Again, thanks to everyone!

Cooper-Young in Memphis is great spot to walk around lots of restaurants and Hammer & Ale, a solid beer spot.

Hattie B's for fried chicken and their fries are legit too.

Lofflin Yard is legit a great spot for food, drinks and has a large outdoor spot too.

Joe's Wine & Liquor has a great craft beer selection. Stuff like Bearded Iris and Southern Grist in Nashville.

Last time the wife and I went, we ate at an outdoor place called “Railgarten”. Above average food with plenty of stuff for kids to do. You mentioned Commissary, I’ll also recommend Elwood’s Shack. It’s in the corner of a Lowe’s parking lot. They have a wide variety of food and it’s all good.

I’ll echo Railgarten, loflin yard, and Overton square and copper young areas. Great places to drink eat and let kiddos play. We’ve got 4 from 6 to teenagers and can take all of them and they have a great time.

Busters liquor is great and they deliver for free. Can’t beat them.

Cooper-Young area during the day is great during the spring

Don't come to Memphis and go to Hattie B's. Go to Uncle Lou's or Gus's

Try one of the Hudman-Ticer spots. Hog and Hominy is casual and has bocce ball outside for kids, their other places are nicer and wouldn't be great for kids

There should be a Huey's close by in any area of town you are staying, they have good burgers and the kids can shoot toothpicks into the ceiling

Los Tortugas Mexican Deli in Germantown is great! They’re a little “Soup Nazi-ish” so be careful when you order.

That's a perfect way to describe Pepe Magallanes. He just really wants people to eat real Mexican food

Flight is great, but I don't know about two kids under 4.

Loflin Yard for sure.

Ghost River Brewing is real close to Loflin Yard.

Wiseacre was my favorite the last trip, but I think a few new ones have opened since then. Memphis Made and High Cotton weren't as kid friendly from what I remember.
