I'm with you. Even though crawfish pies aren't terrible, the initial shock of the flavor of one when you are expecting a meat pie is revolting. God I love meat pies.

I love meat pies. There are very few crawfish pies (made like a fried meat pie) that I’ve had which are good. Most of them are full of rice which I don’t care for. I prefer a crawfish pie only filling. That said, I’ll take a meat pie any time over crawfish. I agree they should be labeled if being served at a function. Could be devastating to a person allergic to crawfish.
