I went there for the first time today and had lunch. The gf had been raving about their chicken salad and I have to admit it was pretty good. So she got that and I had a meatball po-boy. Both were great. I also had the potato salad which was great as well.

While I was waiting on my food I noticed all of the other things they had available such as the stuffed chickens, kabobs, and other stuff like that. Is everything pretty much good at this place?

Cheaper actually than some other places I've been and much better quality. I've bbq a lot of different things from Maxwells and been pleased with everything.

Cheaper than Whole Foods and other specialty meat places.

They carry some green "unpitted" Greek olives there which I just love. I am addicted to them.

Crab and brie dip = awesome.

I have tried several of their products and have been satisfied every time. You can get 2 7oz filet + portobello mushroom kabobs for under $10. The stuffed chicken breasts are great, as are the seasoned bacon-wrapped pork chops. Throw in a few twice baked potatoes and you have yourself a great meal.

Try the roasted chicken sandwich. Killer.

The roasted chicken ceasar salad is nice as well. Don't buy their ceasar dressing which is incredible. I wanted a pint so she poured me a pint out of a 5 gallon bucket of Ken's Ceasar Dressing and charged me $6.50. I found it at Winn Dixie or Wal-Mart for $2.50. Oh well. Still kicks arse.

The "New Grilled Chicken Club" on 9 Grain bread is my favorite sandwich, anywhere.. Highly recommend it.. The sweet potato fries are incredible. The regular french fries aren't bad either.

Im a fan. The shrimp Kabobs are outstanding. I usually picked up a twice baked potato and a stuffed chicken breast whenever i dont have time to prepare a meal. Pirates Gold marinade is money

Yep, that's Maxwell's in Shreveport, too. They must have branched out.

Yes, the owner that owned the Shreveport one opened the ones in Baton Rouge. I know there are new owners in Shreveport but I am not sure if they bought the ones in Baton Rouge as well.

If you don't try anything else they have to offer, at least try the Heathbar cookie in the box up by the cash register. Quite possibly the best cookie in the free world.
