Low-No Carb pasta substitutes?

There was a thread here not too long ago that I thought I bookmarked but it's not in my bookmark list, and I can't find it in the wild.
So I apologize for starting a new thread on a topic that I know has already been covered.
What are good to great pasta substitutes for people who need to cut back on carbs? Recipes also welcome, of course.

Nobody needs to cut back on carbs. There. I said it. It’s only a means to cut calories and maybe lose some water weight.
ETA: There is no substitute for pasta that remotely resembles pasta.

Shredded squash/zucchini squash

I use miracle noodles/shiritaki noodles and Palmini. Miracle noodles are roughly the same as rice noodles, but a little chewier. Palmini has a little more bite to it. Both come in a brine that has to be thoroughly rinsed. I get them on Amazon for convenience sakes, deliveries alternating months.

Hearts of Palm is something I’ve tried recently and there’s a thread here about it. Very good. Better than the others IMO. I also enjoy zucchini noodles but they’re not as filling.

LSU is playing in the CWS and you're talking about low carb noodles?

Squid tubes split open and flattened work for baked dishes like lasagna.

I bet carbs aren’t the real problem…..

Cutting carbs cuts calories. Thermodynamics are simple. Calories in v. calories out.
If you are diabetic that’s one thing. If you think eating 2000 kcals of zoodles and cream sauce is any different than eating 2000 kcals of real pasta and protein makes a difference in weight control…you are scientifically and factually incorrect.

All “diets” including intermittent fasting are just ways to cut kcals

Substitute whatever you want, but at the end of the day, it comes down to calories in VS calories burned. OMAD/interment fasting is the best way to go.

Such assholes.
I'm not going on a "diet", I'm looking for a lifestyle change where "pasta" can still be part of my (and my family's) menu, but something less carby than traditional pasta.
Why does everyone have to be such a fricking a-hole? I specifically posted on the Food and Drink board so I wouldn't have to deal with this bullshite that I would expect from the OT Lounge.

I read that thread, definitely on my radar with the artichoke hearts. Great thread.

So answer my question instead of lecturing me. This is the Food board... not the OT Lounge, not the Health and Fitness board.

Georgia is a football school and the Braves are 15 games over .500 and 5 games ahead in 1st of the division. Why in the frick would I care about college baseball?

You seem agitated. Have some carbs and chill.
I answered your question in the first response. Pasta “”substitutes” are not substitutes at all. The taste and texture are nothing like pasta.
Spaghetti squash? I love it. But it’s nothing resembling pasta.

This stuff looks terrible but gets the job done in my experience.
