my favorite side dish with a steak is a cold pasta salad.

i know you usually do asparagus, but i like to put them in a ziplock and soak them for a few hours in lemon juice, lots garlic and salt. then grill them. Everyone always loves them.

Haha roasted potatoes is the first thing that popped in my head when I read the thread title.

You can't go wrong with an old fashion loaded baked potato. I also like to saute some mushrooms in red wine with steak.

I like sauteing mushrooms in the cast iron pot right after I cook the ribeye.

added benefit of making the pot-cleaning easier too

When I want a break from potatoes, this is what I do. Sometimes I wonder why I even cooked the steak.

Grill romaine lettuce. Olive oil, seasoning, and Parmesan cheese keep turning it on the grill and get a slight char. Sounds crazy until you try it.

whipped sweet potatoes ... dice a couple up, put in a pan with a bit of cream, touch of butter and a dash of this or that ... put on just above low heat for 40 minutes and then mash ... or dice up some butternut squash, drizzle evoo and roast for an hour ...
