Looking for a restaurant idea for a group

Have a group of about ten guys that we will be looking to do a casual yet nice dinner near the quarter this weekend. I have not been back to NOLA in quite some time so I am lost about any new places. Can anyone recommend a place I can bring a group of 10 that have not been to New Orleans before? Thinking about standard NOLA cuisine. I know some places do not take reservations so that kind of hinders my options. Thanks.

Emeril should impress the tourists

Nothing like a little pre-decadence fun...

A group of ten would be a little large, but let's go ahead and throw it out there anyway because you know it's going to happen

Gotta be Mr. B's, no? Casual, won't break the bank, and I think they do a good job representing New Orleans fare.

Mr. B's is a good suggestion. Maybe try Bon Ton Cafe as well.

We had nine at Peche and it was fine.

Emeril's would work if you can get a reservation for 10 at this late date on a weekend night. If you plan to go there, call now. You can dress casually, but I wouldn't recommend shorts.
Bon Ton would work if you're looking for a place for Friday night, but it's not open on Saturday/Sunday. I'd call them quickly as well.
Mandina's works for this sort of thing and takes reservations. Takes credit cards now, as well. That's not new news, but it might be new to you. It's a merely a streetcar ride down Canal St. which would add to the experience for guys who have never been to New Orleans. Has a huge menu and while it's not going to be the best food in New Orleans, it's fine for some of the old traditional dishes and poboys.

I really like Bourbon House for a group. You can be a little loud without it being disturbing. Great BBQ shrimp.

I agree, been there with groups of 8-30 or so and they set us up in a side room with great service.
