Haven't really done much exploring of the new culinary establishments and have a single lunch to spare.

Not new, but one can't go wrong with lunch at J. Alexander's.

Have you done City Pork yet? It is solid.

I'd tell you to bring cash and go to La Salvadorena, but you live in TX so you probably aren't short of that kind of food.

I have done city pork once for the Cuban. It was solid no doubt and I'm not afraid of going again.

I ended up at Velvet cactus last night. It was good also, though the margaritas were straight from a pre made sour mix. No Bueno.

Chimes is never a bad decision - even if you've been plenty.

I'll throw the Nino's lunch special out there. A soup or salad + a sandwich or pasta for $12. They hand-make their pasta, and all of their items (salad, pasta, etc.) are much more out of the norm than elsewhere.

I really like beausoleil. Never been there for lunch but their dinner is awesome.

I had a pretty good meal at Table.

My opinion....The new City Pork in the Industriplex area is not that great, at least the several things I've tried so far weren't.

I concur, and lunch at Zea would also be tasty.

I'm assuming they're ran by the same group, no? Seems odd quality would be different from location to location with such a small business.

The one I went to was on Perkins by Georges.

Is it strange that I have eaten at Dorothys dozens of times? Years ago I worked right down the road from it. Fantastic soul food.

Maybe it's going through new location pains. I know the one off of Jefferson has been rock solid every time.

I was told the food at the 3 CP's in BR are different, even though the ownership may be the same. Which I don't if it is. I like the one on Hollydale too. The Cubano there is worlds better than the Cubano at the Jefferson location. The Industriplex CP doesn't offer a Cubano.
