The seared tuna with avocado crema and a couple of other delicious sauces is my go to. So good!

The bone marrow app is sublime. The shishitos and dipping sauce are also excellent.

They also have a very good burger.

Lafayette is weird. Charley G’s might be the best room, but the food is mediocre. Park Bistro or Vestal might have the best plates, but the rooms are ok (PB) to atrocious (Vestal). Jane’s is hit or miss. iMonelli’s room is like a break room at Staples. The food has gone way downhill.

Great list. I would add Antoni's for Italian

I love the atmosphere at Vestal, but I definitely get it if you have hearing issues. But, I also enjoy a lively (loud) atmosphere, it's not a quiet romantic spot for sure.

I hadn't been to iMonelli's in a while, but I went about 6 months ago and they had a superb veal chop special. One of the better meals that I've had in the city this past year. The atmosphere definitely leaves a lot to be desired, IMO.

Vestal is my favorite spot in the city right now.

Haven't been to Jane's yet though.

Mazen for the best fish in the city

I don't understand the menu. What do you recommend?

Is it just a fish of the day? "Mmmm that sounds good I'll have that."

Yes, fish of the day with different sauces except the salmon.

Vestal downtown is a good spot. Steaks come from Snake River Farms I believe and they have the best selection of oysters in the area.

As someone who loves lump crabmeat, this looks wonderful to me.

People kept telling me to order it, and I was like, "Why? It's just lump crabmear." So for years I always ordered other stuff. Then a few years back I finally tried it, and it was excellent.

I would never call Charley G's "mediocre". I've eaten there a handful of times and was always more than satisfied.

Agree on imonelli. The food is among the best in the city. The decor is surprisingly bad

I had lunch at SoLou today. I had a cup of crab and brie soup, and added salmon to the sensation salad, which was excellent. My friend had the burrata and tomato app, and shrimp and grits. I thought the menu had some interesting sounding choices. I recommend.

Yes, SoLou is good.

At Park Bistro, they have a very good salmon over risotto, and you might like the side of Brussels sprouts. This combo is also available and very good at Romacelli in River Ranch.

Romacelli $5 Brussels sprouts is one of the better deals for a side/app in the city. Pretty sure they have a $6 happy hour for most drinks until 6pm, too. Some other day they have half off bottles of wine.
