I'd suggest not looking for cajun food in Shreveport, but if you want somewhere that might satisfy what you are looking for somewhat

Franks Louisiana Kitchen
Marilynns Place

Kims Seafood and Poboys is decent

BeauxJax is in Bossier and will have some decent poboys as well

Marilynn's Place is alright. At least their poboys are.

Definitely BeauxJax and Frozen Pirogue. If you're out a little south of town in Stonewall, Cousin's is a great Cajun Market that has boudin balls and stuff like that for purchase.

Thanks all. These boys are not going to know the difference. Haha

Thanks for some of the suggestions.

FYI - I've not eaten here, but have bought lots of groceries at the Port Allen location
Bergeron's may be your best bet depending on the chef's experience and skill level

Bergeron's Boudin and Cajun Meats
7805 E Kings Hwy

perhaps our resident I-20 NWLA's will chime in

My wife is from Shreveport, but we don’t eat out a whole lot when we get to town, because my FiL is a pretty good cook. We usually set some meat from Brookshire’s or Bergerons. But if we go out to eat (none of these are Cajun restaurants), my favorites are Rollin in the Dough, Superior, and Strawn’s.

ETA: a guy my wife went to HS with opened up a spot a few years ago called Whisk Dessert Bar. He’s got some good stuff and I’d recommend it.
